Memorable Weekend

Sunday 26 October

Back from another short holiday - had a few days in Scotland this week, weather not up to much but a good break despite that.

Managed to follow the tipsters while I was away, but all this weeks profit came from my own bets this weekend.

Backed Ravens Pass and Henrythenavigator in the Breeders Cup Classic last night and they duly came in first and second - sadly it never crossed my mind to back the forecast which paid more than 150/1 !!

Also backed Donativum, which helped to make Saturday a very special day as I won £820 on the football thanks to a 93rd minute goal from Stockport.

Sunday saw Tipping Legends find Lysander who held on to win at Aintree, his rider rightly suspended for 9 days for excessive use of the whip after the last as his mount managed to hold on.

Three other horses from Tipping Legends were losers on Sunday, and SLH also gave out a loser.

Lost a few quid during the week, despite a couple of winners from Optimum and Isiris.

Graeme Dand is struggling to find winners at the minute - with none at all during the week, although Generous Lad being beaten a nose at 9/1 hurt as this would have covered all the losers. He's taken a couple of days off this weekend, and hopefully he will return to form next week and get his confidence back after what's been a tough couple of weeks for him.

This weeks Golf bets look unlikely to throw up anything, Paul Casey missed out on the places by two shots. Davis Love is 5 shots out of the money, so unless he does something special tonight I will be booking a £50 loss tomorrow.

All being well, I should be able to update most nights this week, hope it's good news !!

Profit on week £1639

Profit for the year now stands at £9957.

That's A Bit Better !!

Sunday 19 October

Better day today, with Isiris finding a short priced main account bet winner in Nikos Extra at 5/4.

Tipping Legends found Snap Tie at 9/2, who turned over Champion Hurdler Katchit at Kempton. Their other two selections were unplaced.

Graham Dand hit the bar today with Nevada Desert finishing second at 12/1, beaten just a head by Dan Chillingworth.

Finally Steve Webster tied for third in the Portugese Masters golf at 50/1, and so landed the place money for the Tipping Legends golf service. Think he got to within a shot of the lead at one stage on the back 9, but eventually finished 4 shots behind the winner.

Profit on day £450

Wipeout

Saturday 18 October

Bit of a sore head this morning after a good night last night, and looking back on yesterday's results doesn't help much either.

No winners at all sadly, Tipping Legends played in 5 races including two in the Cesarewitch but a second place with Eighteenfifty was the best they could do.

Other losers were an insider bet from Isiris on Distinction, Graham Dand advised a bet on Whenever in The Cesarewitch at 40/1 - finished well down the field, and Mathematician had Mister Fizzbomb unplaced at Catterick.

SLH got me out last Saturday night with a winner on the all weather but not to be last night, with It's A Dream beaten just over a length in third.

My footy bet was a shocker as well with only 1 out of 5 correct, and that was a 90th minute goal !! so a day to forget and quickly move on from.

The Past Week

Friday 17 October (after racing)

So I've been back a week and the scores on the doors show a loss of £195 since I resumed.

Decent day today with two winning account bets from Isiris - Dragon Eye (e/w) and Ring The Boss both winning at Cheltenham. This followed a 16/1 main account bet winner at Leicester on Tuesday (although this was a split stake bet), and showed a welcome return to form following a horrendous couple of days last Friday and Saturday when he lost 32 points - good time to come back eh ?!

SLH has had a good run from very few bets on his mainline - Seek The Truth (won 8/1), Safari Run e/w (2nd 14/1) and Tootsie Too e/w (won 11/2) were the only three bets during the week. His all weather team also gave out Duty Doctor (won 7/1) last Saturday although none of the advices since then have gone in.

Optimum has been quiet as well with just three losing bets given out on the week.

Mathematician had a winning account bet last Thursday on Tanley at 5/1 and has been fairly quiet since then, with a losing account bet on Peas In A Pod (also put up as an account bet by Isiris) which ran very badly yesterday at Great Leighs.

The Tipping Legends hadn't been doing much until today, when they advised a maximum bet on Font - a very easy winner at Cheltenham.

Finally, I've joined up with Graeme Dand (The Form Analyst), see link to blog on right. He managed to find a nice winner in Piscean at 9/1 last Friday but has been struggling a bit since then. However he had a decent start to the month while I was away and I look forward to him coming good again for the rest of October.

So plenty of bets for no reward, which is how it goes sometimes. Looking forward to a busy and hopefully profitable weekend.

Best of luck
JP

Back In The Game

Friday 17 October

Just a short note to let you know I'm still alive (!!) and started up again last Thursday. Had one or two decent priced winners since I came back, but plenty of losers as well so not making a lot of progress in terms of profit.

Anticipating a busy day today, so will give a full update on here after racing tonight and let you know exactly how I've done in the last week.

All the best
JP
