End of a poor week

Sunday 11 January

Another blank day on the horses with three more losers to add to the week, indeed not a single winner all week with action largely restricted to the all weather.

Things have warmed up somewhat, although Plumpton has gone tomorrow. All being well Fakenham will pass their inspection tomorrow and we should be ok for the rest of the week.

Frustrating watching Charl Schwartzel in the golf this afternoon, eventually finished tied for fourth to collect some of the each way money, three shots behind the winner. Look like missing out in the US golf as well as Camilo Villegas is tied fourth overnight, seven shots behind and I'm on win only. Stayed up late last night to watch it and he was making a charge, eight birdies in 9 holes at one stage, but missed a few late putts and think he's too far behind now. See how he's got on when I get up in the morning.

Yes JP i was getting excited when i logged on Saturday morning to see young Charlie Swaza as i call him at the top of a competitive leaderboard after shooting 63.

I backed him for a good oner at 20-1 STAN jAMES ON Friday evening whn he was 3 ubder knwing that a good round would decimate those odds and leave me with a good buZZ come
Sunday. Alas not to close but so far.....nothing venturd nothing gained.....if your not innit you cant winnit....and all that bollux.

Anyway onwards and upwaards and we will get there. Keep focused and the tide will turn at some point. Negative thoughts bad returns, where positive thoughts mean better returns.

Anyway lets start banging in those winners JP and 2009 will be no gloomy financial year for us punters.

Hi mate,

Yes only positive thoughts here, although the blog does help clear the mind when things aren't going as well as they might.

Had a dismal time at the beginning of last year, so a winter break might be the answer !!

Best of luck as always
