Another Top Day

Thursday 30 April

I've been racking up big profits this month, and the last day was no exception.

Another winner for Tipping Legends, and an each play place on Chilbury Hill - backed this e/w for a change as I saw a tip for it elsewhere. I also had £50 win on it, which is part of the personal bets figure.

Paul Jones list managed to find Blueberry Boy at 25/1. Also spotlighted all the shorties which won on the card. Didn't back any of them, hindsight is a wonderful think but doubles and trebles was probably the way to go. So again didn't play these to their best advantage today - but it's always a tough call, worked ok yesterday and see how it goes tomorrow.

Equine Investments starts up for the flat tomorrow, and looking forward to seeing how this goes - will be interesting to see how the prices stand up if they put one up. Then I'll know what I'm up against for the summer.

Another blog to keep an eye on is High Class Equine - see link on right. Looks to be a high quality site, and they're off to a good start with their tips.

Had £25 e/w on their 11/2 winner today, and will be following their selections from now on with great interest.

Looking at one or two other options to add to the portfolio over the coming weeks, will update as and when I make any decisions. My sub with Optimum is up at the end of June, and the way I feel at the moment I'm not inclined to renew. Things have not gone well this winter, and the staking plan and direction the service is taking is concerning me. More on that nearer the time, see how they get on over the next few weeks.

JP is your Bet365 account still live???
Mine was just effectively barrred today. Max stake on horse racing is now £1 or £1.50.

thanks CD - still looking in on your blog regularly. Keep up the good work !

Hi JB, sorry to hear that but they still give me pretty much everything I ask for - the vast majority of bets I place are with them.

Would cause me big problems if they pulled the plug. Had over 50K in bets with them in the last two months, and I'd have major problems getting that volume on elesewhere, especially as they are BOG.

It did cross my mind to lump on the EI horse yesterday at 3/1 and trade it at a much lower price on Betfair, but I don't think any bookie would allow me to do that for very long. There was no 3/1 on BF at the time - indeed it never traded at that price all day on the machine.

Best of luck finding a way round it, gets more difficult by the day.
