Fantastic Freaky Friday !

Friday 16 October

As regular readers of the blog will know, I decided to stop following Tipping Legends racing tips at the end of August following a very disappointing run of results this year. However, as my subscription doesn't run out until the end of November I've still been the e-mails on a daily basis.

Major changes have been made to the service, and JC essentially steers the ship on his own now. The staking plan has also been tweaked and the number of bets given out has been reduced. A very profitable September for TL meant that I continued to keep a close eye on things. Another 10/1 winner yesterday, and I decided that I would have a dabble with the selections today.

Timing is everything as they say, and I certainly picked my moment to get involved again. The first bet, a three pointer on Parsons Legacy was a loser, but thereafter it was good news all the way. Bollin Judith won at 4/1 (advised at 11/2) and Final Victory was third at 11/2 having been advised each way at 10/1.

The 5.15 at Cheltenham was the key race for me today, indeed the biggest race of the year so far as it turned out.

JC advised a two point bet on Mister Apples and a one pointer on Gaora Lane, together with a half point straight forecast on the pair. They finished first and second in that order and I landed a 62/1 forecast.

The news gets better though - Isiris were on Gaora Lane each way, and SLH put up Gaora Lane and Runshan in the race on his exchange line.

Gambler that I am, I put Mister Apples, Gaora Lane and Runshan in £10 combination tricasts. A lap to go and they were 1/2/3, and as they continued on the final circuit the rest of the field gradually dropped off them and turning for home they only had to stand up for me to hit the jackpot. That they finished in the correct order for the other bets as well was just brilliant, and the tricast paid £533.37 to a £1 stake.

Everything else today is just incidental really, but got a couple of really good runs elsewhere. High Class Equine put up Fourth Generation each way at Redcar. The SP was 25/1 and he was beaten a short head having traded at 1.03 in running. The Form Analyst had one bet, Aimigayle advised each way at 16/1 - led over the final flight, but faded up the Cheltenham hill and was run out of the places to finish fourth, having traded odds on during the race.

The Form Guru had a second, third and fourth from his selections today, and SLH's exchange line had two seconds and a third.

Equine Investments, Punter Profits and SLH A/W gave out one unplaced selection each.

So an amazing day, totally out of the blue really and one that has seen me reach a new high for the year. It's probably bollocksed my Ladbrokes account as well, as I had £50 on both Bollin Judith and Mister Apples with them as well as the forecast and the tricasts, so I've taken over £7500 off them today !

Why do you include your stake in your winning in some cases but not in others

Eg.Le Commencement £200 win @ evens..............200(stake not included)

Bollin Judith £50 win @ 5/1...................300(stake included)

Hi Anon,

I made a msitake when typing up the blog last night with the Bollin Judith bet, it was £50 e/w @ 5/1 (1/5 odds) wins 250+50 = 300.

Well deserved JP after a shitty few weeks, you just jumped back on board TL at the right time,i was just thinking this morning how if you had kept going with TL you would of recouped your losses by now! Does this mean another years subcription?

In your neck of the woods for the November handicap.

Hi anon,

Perfect timing to re-start yesterday. I'm not always that lucky ! Regarding it as a fresh start really and take it from here.

Enjoy Donny when you come up here !

Hi JB, interesting to see how they react. Was able to bet with them today no problems. If I log in via oddschecker they let me have 10% of what is available to bet - which has been the case as long as I can remember.
