Relief

Saturday 10 October

Managed to snap the losing run today with a few good winners and a decent profit.

The Form Analyst finally translated his recent good form into a profitable day on the account thanks to Beat The Boys, a game 6/1 winner at Chepstow. Of the other two bets, Silly Wupple was very frustrating - cruised round most of the way but couldn't get the better of I'm Your Man, the outsider of the whole field, and went down by a neck. The final TFA bet Lysander finished in third.

Theola was a 7/2 winner for Equine Investments, while their other bet on the day was unplaced.

Just one shorty from Isiris today - Noble Alan at 4/6 and never an anxious moment all the way round as he won easily.

The Form Guru had ten bets today, among them Light From Mars, one of three given in the first at York - advised at 22/1 and won at half those odds. Among the other bets given today King's Destiny advised each way at 14/1 finished second, but yet again this week my place bet was unmatched pre-race. Hitchens and Zaaqya both finished third but were both advised win only.

No joy for Punter Profits or Mathematician today with two losers each and the SLH account bet was withdrawn about an hour before the race. Probably just as well for me as I'd missed the price again and wasn't on.

Winabob had a much quieter day today with only three bets, and as two of them won it was a profitable day.

Just one bet from Football Elite, don't suppose I'll back Liechtenstein to win a game very often but that was the advice today - came unstuck though as they lost 2-0.

Final action was from Equine's mentions, just two of them - Cill Rialaig which just held on at Ascot, and Embsay Crag an each way mention at York, who weaved his way through the field after a troubled run to finish third.

Hi JP

Surely not "relief". You've been through it enough times before mate, I would have thought "as expected, sooner or later" would have been more appropriate.

Looks like G's fortunes are about to take an upturn. Perhaps he should concentrate on jumps racing (only joking G).

All the best

Mick

Great blog - I only bet in running but I've found your blog interesting.

Good Luck

Hi JB,

Yeah, I'm aware of Hugh Taylor. Did a bit of analysis of his results to the end of August which show he makes a loss to SP. However as you say, there is money to be made if you can get on at the right price.

Hi Harry,

I'll give you a shout later in the week when I have a bit more time.

**

Hi Phil,

Glad to hear things are going well for you.

Hi Mick,

Tough week in more ways than one, but as you say it always comes back eventually.

Long term is the only way to view things of course, but I have to vent every now and again to keep myself sane !

Hi B-I-R,

thanks for your comment. I'll check your blog out later on. Fancy exchanging links ?
