All or nothing - today nothing !

Wednesday 18 November

Nothing like steady and consistent profits, and that's me at the moment - nothing like steady and consistent !

Last seven days have been as up and down as I can ever remember, but overall things have hardly moved at all, I'm £104 worse off that I was this time last week.

One winner advised today - the only Punter Profits system bet - Calzaghe ,but as it was 4/6 this morning I didn't touch it, and it won at that price.

Elsewhere the tone was set at an early stage with the Market Rasen 1.40 a key race for me. SLH advised laying Synchronised and in the same race Isiris had a split stake bet on the only two others in the race really, Bluegun and Victorias Groom. As it turned out, the worst possible result for me with Synchronised winning, despite jumping poorly early on, from the two Isiris horses.

SLH had one bet today - Legends Lass at Market Rasen, finished a well beaten second at 3/1.

Nothing doing today from The Form Guru - the only return was from Djalabad which finished third at 14/1.

One of his losers was Hockenheim, who was also a selection for Tipping Legends - finished second at 4/1 and another £400 went there.

SLH's all weather bet Alfresco, also another TFG tip, was well beaten.

Two from the Form Analyst at Kempton tonight - Confuchias finishing third and Fault unplaced.

Nothing from Pricewise Extra or from the horses Maths mentioned today.

See what happens tomorrow - anything could happen !!

Are you worried about isiris? In the 10 years i was with them Sept to Dec were always good so to be behind now is a concern to me. Hopefully when kb gets back in swing after his absence results will pick up. Took him 3 months last time he was for long time. Anyway great blog and good luck next year.

I know actually what you mean. Last sticky patch like this was in August. I am sure over the next few days it will settle down.

Hi JP,

Long-time reader...first time poster. I am a member of Equine Investments also. What a year they have had, although it is becoming increasingly difficult to get a decent bet at the right price before those bookies cut the odds. I am also a member of a service called These guys have been going since July and after a slow start are up around 80 points on 300 points staked. Maybe you could start following them.

Best of luck in the future.

Hi anon,

Been here before with Isiris, the nature of the staking means that things can quickly run away during a bad run.

Don't think it's necessarily due to him taking a long break, he actually got off to a pretty good start when he came back.

Haven't been many you could call unlucky, more that they look like bad calls, although I liked the bet on Wednesday.

Plenty of time for him to get things right.

Hi Brian,

Absolutely, it's all about staying in the game until the next winning run comes along.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Paul,

Send me another comment with your e-mail address (which I won't put on here of course) and we can take it from there.

All the best

Hi anon,

I used to monitor Fryboy's results when he used to have a free site, but not looked at how things have been going for him for a while.

Not looking to get involved with any more services at the moment.

Will keep things under review, but I'm OK with what I've got for now.

Only a month to go until I take a seven week break so not planning on adding any new services to the portfolio.
