Friday catch up

Friday 19 February

I was out Friday afternoon and evening, hence no update until now.

Equine Investments continued their recent hot streak with another winner - Bollywood Style winning at an advised price of 5/1.

A winner for Punter Profits with Qaspal at Sandown, while their other selection Souter Point was unplaced.

SLH advised a lay of Born Again at Fakenham, and the horse was beaten into second despite being backed down to an SP of 10/11.

The Form Guru continues to find winners elusive - four bets yesterday producing a couple of third places, while Tipping Legends also came up empty from two bets, including a short priced win double where both legs lost.

I've just about finalised my staking plan for 2010 which I'll outline later on today.

Hi JP,

What has happened to The Form Guru, they are on a shocking run at the moment

Hi JP, What do you make of kb saying fridays max winner counts for us all, despite his instructions to lay back the bet if only 7 runners, I listened three times to the message and his exacts words were " only a max bet on the condition of 8 runners", we pay to follow his advice after all.

Adrian,

Apologies for accidentally deleting your comment.

As you'll have read, I have decided to drop the Isiris insider bets and just follow the main account bets win only to level stakes.

He's had a very good run on the main account since Boxing Day from the results I've seen. Not aware of any other pending ante-post bets.

Hi anon,

Yeah, a bad run for sure - I'm still waiting for my first winner since the re-start. Ups and downs are not unusual with TFG, but this is the longest spell I can remember without any winners at all.

Hopefully, he'll get back on track before too much longer.

Hi anon,

Well I was a bit late calling the line yesterday, so I missed the price, but heard him clearly state that you should trade out of the bet if there were any non-runners.

As it happened one came through soon after the message went out, and so I guess most people traded out of the win part as advised and therefore it was a no bet. You couldn't trade the place anyway as Betfair was still paying three places.

I couldn't get anything at the advised price so I left it unbacked, and of course it went and won.

Have to take what KB says with a pinch of salt at times, he'll put the bet on his account as a winner - just settle your account as a no bet and move on to the next one I guess.
